DAYO MOSHOOD

ABOUT / CONTACT

Grown in Woolwich and raised in a Yoruba household, Dayo never truly chose to study Business Economics — the degree chose him. Because in a Yoruba household, if it’s not doctor, lawyer or engineer, the job must at least sound stressful enough to prove it’s not just your hobby.

After three years working as a Finance Assistant , Dayo realised that life was far too short to be staring at spreadsheets. Music and film were calling — the stuff that actually keeps him alive.

He started from the ground up as a Production Assistant, running around on sets for agencies and production companies (and discovering just how heavy lighting stands really are). Eventually, he leapt into the world of freelancing because apparently he enjoys chaos, late night problem solving and the occasional existential crisis over call sheets.

Since then, Dayo has produced a wide variety of work: TVCs, branded content, music videos, short films, and documentaries. His work on The Mourning Bird won “Best Short Film 2023” from Unrestricted Review, and his production on Knucks’ Alpha House / Hide & Seek received nominations for “Video of the Year” at both the MOBO Awards and GRM Awards in 2022.

With a strong focus on visual storytelling, cultural resonance, and collaborative energy, Dayo has built a reputation as a Producer who brings ideas to life while creating spaces for teams to thrive. He still occasionally reminds his parents that yes — this is, in fact, a real career.
